What it is

Evolution is the GNOME project’s personal information manager. In one window it brings together email, calendars, an address book, tasks and memos, in the style of Microsoft Outlook. It speaks IMAP and SMTP for mail, CalDAV and CardDAV for calendars and contacts, and can connect to Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 accounts.

Why it’s here

  • Everything in one place. Mail, calendar, contacts and tasks share one app, as many people are used to from Outlook.
  • Exchange support. It’s one of the few Linux apps that connects to Exchange and Microsoft 365 directly.

On CoreDesktop

CoreDesktop installs Evolution as a Flatpak from Flathub. Open it from the app grid and add your accounts in its setup assistant. update keeps it current along with your other Flatpaks.
