What it is

Extension Manager is an app for GNOME Shell extensions, the add-ons that change how the desktop looks and behaves. It searches and installs extensions from extensions.gnome.org, shows screenshots and ratings, and lets you turn installed extensions on and off, open their settings, or remove them.

Why it’s here

  • One place for extensions. No browser add-on or website needed.
  • See before you install. Descriptions, screenshots and user ratings are in the app.
  • Quick settings. Each extension’s preferences are a click away.

On CoreDesktop

Extension Manager is installed from Flathub. Open it from the app menu. It shows the extensions CoreDesktop installs, Tiling Shell and Tailscale, alongside any you add, and you can open Tiling Shell’s settings from there. update updates your extensions, and the Flatpak update keeps Extension Manager itself current.
