What it is

Flameshot is a screenshot tool with built-in annotation. You drag to select part of the screen, then draw arrows, boxes, numbered markers and text, blur sensitive details, and save the result, copy it to the clipboard or pin it on screen, all before the capture closes.

Why it’s here

  • Annotate in one step. No need to open an image editor to point at something.
  • Blur before you share. Hide emails, names or tokens before a screenshot leaves your machine.

On CoreDesktop

CoreDesktop installs Flameshot from pacman. Open it from the app grid, or run flameshot gui to start a capture. CoreDesktop doesn’t bind it to a key, so Print Screen still opens GNOME’s own screenshot tool. update keeps Flameshot current with the rest of the pacman packages.
