What it is
Inkscape is an open-source vector graphics editor. Vector images are made of shapes and paths rather than pixels, so they stay sharp at any size: the right format for logos, icons, illustrations, diagrams and print. Inkscape’s native format is SVG, the web’s standard vector format, and it also imports and exports PDF, EPS and PNG.
Why it’s here
- Illustrator-style design. Paths, the pen tool, text on paths, gradients and boolean operations are all there.
- Native SVG. Graphics for websites and apps come out as clean, standard SVG.
On CoreDesktop
CoreDesktop installs Inkscape as a Flatpak from Flathub. Open it from the app grid. update keeps it current along with your other Flatpaks.
