What it is

Kdenlive is an open-source video editor from the KDE community. You arrange clips on a multitrack timeline, trim and split them, and add transitions, titles, effects and color correction. It handles most video and audio formats, uses proxy clips to keep editing smooth with large footage, and renders to common formats for the web or other devices.

Why it’s here

  • A real editor. Multiple tracks, keyframed effects and audio mixing cover YouTube videos, tutorials and short films.
  • Works with OBS. Record with OBS Studio, then cut and polish the recording here.

On CoreDesktop

CoreDesktop installs Kdenlive as a Flatpak from Flathub. Open it from the app grid. update keeps it current along with your other Flatpaks.
