What it is

lazygit is a full-screen terminal interface for Git. It shows your changed files, branches, commits and stashes in panels, and turns common jobs into single keys: stage a file or a single line, commit, push, switch branches, or reorder and squash commits in an interactive rebase.

Why it’s here

  • See everything at once. Status, diff and history side by side.
  • Hard things made easy. Partial staging, cherry-picks and rebases without memorizing commands.
  • Stays in the terminal. Works over SSH and next to your editor.

On CoreDesktop

lazygit is installed from pacman, and CoreDesktop adds the alias lg for it. Run it inside a repository:

lg

update keeps it current with the rest of the pacman packages.
