What it is

NerdFetch is a minimal “fetch” script: it prints a few lines about your system, such as the OS, kernel, uptime, packages and memory, each with an icon from Nerd Fonts. It’s a plain POSIX shell script, so it’s light and portable.

Why it’s here

  • Compact. A short summary that fits beside your prompt.
  • Icons included. CoreDesktop installs the Nerd Fonts symbols it uses.

On CoreDesktop

NerdFetch is installed from the AUR, along with the ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols font package that provides its icons. Type nerdfetch in a terminal. update keeps it current along with the rest of the AUR packages.
