What it is

RustDesk is a remote desktop app in the style of TeamViewer. Each computer gets an ID; enter someone’s ID and password to see and control their screen, transfer files or chat. It works across Linux, Windows, macOS and phones, and you can use RustDesk’s public servers or run your own.

Why it’s here

  • Remote help. Support family or colleagues without asking them to configure anything.
  • Cross-platform. The same app on every operating system.
  • Self-hostable. Run your own relay server if you don’t want to use the public ones.

On CoreDesktop

RustDesk is installed from Flathub. Open it from the app grid. update keeps it current along with the rest of the Flatpaks.
