What it is

Scribus is an open-source desktop publishing app. You lay out pages with frames for text and images, flow text between columns and pages, and set up master pages, styles and guides. It produces print-ready PDFs with CMYK color, spot colors and bleed, and can also make interactive PDF forms.

Why it’s here

  • Layout, not word processing. Newsletters, flyers and magazines need precise placement that a word processor can’t give.
  • Ready for the printer. PDF/X export, color management and bleed are built in.

On CoreDesktop

CoreDesktop installs Scribus as a Flatpak from Flathub. Open it from the app grid. update keeps it current along with your other Flatpaks.
