What it is
Xournal++ is a note-taking app for handwriting. With a graphics tablet or a touchscreen and stylus, you write and draw on pages as you would on paper, with pressure sensitivity, highlighters, shapes and layers. It’s also a good way to annotate PDFs: open one, write on it, and export the result as a new PDF. It supports LaTeX for typed formulas.
Why it’s here
- Sign and mark up PDFs. Fill in a form, sign it or add comments without printing it.
- Notes by hand. Lecture notes, sketches and math work better with a pen than a keyboard.
On CoreDesktop
CoreDesktop installs Xournal++ as a Flatpak from Flathub. Open it from the app grid, or open a PDF with it from Files. update keeps it current along with your other Flatpaks.
